In love...

...with this entryway.
I love the all-white stairs. Maybe I'll just stop worrying about what color to paint the entryway and just paint it white. White is clean, classic--everything I want. And it would look incredible with our beautiful floors.

Grillin'

For Keith's birthday, I gave him a grill. It's something he's been wanting for a long time, so now he has it--and he's loving it. He actually started singing about grilling and laughed like a mad scientist when he revealed that he had grilled one steak and was now grilling two more. As a vegetarian, I don't really get it, but I'm glad he's happy.

A little more

Two more drawers down. I think these turned out very nicely considering what kind of shape the drawers were in. And the handles look especially good against the white paint.

Slow and steady wins the race

Our progress on the kitchen has really stalled the past few weeks. Finally, this weekend, we got a little something done. We put handles on the drawers! And only one of them is horribly off-center. Oh well, you can't really tell in the pictures.

Paint colors

Finding the perfect paint color is so hard.

Another weekend, another trip to Ikea. I needed to get the rest of the hardware for the cabinets, so I also ended up buying a rug for the dining room that we had mulled over last time. It's a beautiful, saturated green. I think it will look amazing when we paint the walls a darker color.
