There are many things about our entryway that need work. The front door is a disaster, and I went on a fact-finding mission at a couple of salvage stores to find a new one. Though I did not find a door, I did find a light fixture for the entryway. The light fixture that came with the house was yet another eyesore, as you can see in this picture.
So, we welcomed into our home an original 1920s art deco light fixture, lovingly restored by the wonderful people at
Community Forklift. My picture-taking skills are still not the best, so it doesn't look as lovely in the picture as it does in person, but believe me, it is beautiful.
